Hidden But Visible Ministry — Est. 2019, Charlotte NC

It started with me.
But it was never just about me.

Hidden But Visible is a Christ-centered ministry for women who are ready to stop performing and start becoming. Formation. Freedom. Deliverance. What God started in one room in 2019, He is still doing — and it keeps growing.

Our story

It started
with me.

In 2019, God showed me something I hadn't been able to see about myself. I was hidden — right in the middle of everything, surrounded by people — but hidden. From myself. From others. And yet visible to Him. Fully known. Fully seen.

That revelation wasn't just for me. It became an invitation — to expose and touch the hidden parts, to let God do what only He can do in the places we've kept covered.

Hidden But Visible started as a small group. What God did in that room, He has been doing ever since — through formation, through freedom, through deliverance. Through community. Through the table.

We have been rocking since 2019. And we are just getting started.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!”
2 Corinthians 5:17
The name
Hidden But Visible holds the tension of how so many women live — present in every room but unseen, performing without being known. The name is a declaration: you are hidden from no one that matters. God sees you. He has always seen you. And what He sees, He calls good.
The mandate
This ministry exists to expose and touch the hidden parts — the places covered by performance, fear, and shame — and bring them into the light of who God says we are. Formation. Freedom. Community where you don't have to be anything other than exactly where you are.
The center
The center of Hidden is not programs, events, content, or visibility. The center is encounter and communion with God. Everything we build leads women and leaders back to knowing the Father, walking with the Holy Spirit, and being formed into the image of Christ. If we are not meeting God, then what are we doing?

What we do

Three pillars.
One assignment.

Everything Hidden does flows from three commitments — formation, freedom, and equipping the body. Each one is distinct. All of them are connected. And all of them lead back to the same place: encounter with God.

01
Formation

FORMED is our discipleship coaching program — a structured journey through the six foundations of faith rooted in Hebrews 6:1–2. It is not a curriculum you consume. It is a formation you walk. You don't walk it alone, and Christ does the work.

02
Freedom

Freedom Encounter is Hidden's deliverance ministry. Spirit-led, Scripture-grounded, and built for women who are ready to be free — not just cope, not just manage, but actually free. Some things don't just need to be managed. They need to go.

03
For the Kingdom

The same work God does in an individual woman is available to the communities she belongs to. We resource churches, women's ministries, and organizations serious about building people from the inside out. This is not a service we deliver. It is a partnership we build.

What we believe

The convictions
that don't move.

These are not values on a wall. They are the bones of how Hidden operates — in every session, every cohort, every decision about what we build and how we treat the people inside it.

01
God does the work
Formation and freedom are not things you achieve by trying harder. They are things Christ accomplished and continues to do by His Spirit. Our job is to make room. His job is to move. We do not build faster than we can remain rooted in Him.
02
Presence over performance
Spiritual activity is not the same as intimacy with God. Leadership, ministry, events — none of it replaces knowing Him. This shapes everything at Hidden. We do not measure success by output. We measure it by encounter.
03
Identity, not performance
You are not defined by what you do, how well you do it, or how much you produce. You are defined by who God says you are. Everything Hidden builds starts from that foundation — not from what you owe, what you need to fix, or what you have to prove.
04
Development over extraction
Hidden will not build through using people for their gifts. We disciple, develop, honor, and invest in everyone who carries this work with us. Leaders here are known as whole people — not managed for output. We build people before we build programs.
05
The table, not the stage
Hidden is a table where everyone brings something and everyone belongs. You don't have to perform to pull up a chair. You just have to show up. This is not a ministry of visibility. It is a ministry of presence.
06
All the way in
Halfway in doesn't work here. Formation, freedom, and real change require full surrender — not perfection, but presence. Hidden is a place for women who are done with the surface and ready to go all the way in with God.
How we treat people

We do not build
through extraction.

Many leaders have been used for their gifts while being left alone in their development. We have seen what it costs people to pour everything into a ministry that does not pour back. Hidden is intentional about being different.

Whether you are a participant, a facilitator, or someone just finding your way in — you are not a resource to be used. You are a person being formed. That distinction matters here.

“We do not use people for their gifts. We build, disciple, honor, and invest in them.”

This is not just language. It is the operating system of Hidden — built into how we structure leadership, how we pace our work, how we care for the people who carry this ministry, and how we welcome every woman who walks through the door.

Formation over informationWe are not building a content machine. Every offering must lead people into actual encounter with God — not just more things to know.
Relationship over hypeHidden grows slowly and intentionally. We are not chasing momentum. We are building something that lasts because it is rooted in real relationship with God and with each other.
Rest is part of the cultureWe honor capacity. We build recovery into the rhythm. We do not require unlimited availability from anyone — including ourselves. Sustainable ministry is holy ministry.
Leaders are developed, not deployedThose who carry responsibility inside Hidden are discipled, equipped, cared for, and honored — not handed a role and left to figure it out alone.
Intimacy over imageWhat God sees in the hidden places is more important than what the world sees on the outside. We protect that value at every level of this ministry.
We move togetherThis is not a solo assignment. The team moves as a unit — covered, connected, and carrying the work together. Nobody disappears and nobody carries it alone.
The founder

A daughter of the King,
doing what He said do.

Erica Stroman
Walking in the call He created before I was born.

Erica Stroman is a daughter of the King, walking in the call He created before she was born. What started as obedience — a small group in Charlotte, NC in 2019 — has grown into a ministry she did not build so much as steward.

What God showed her in that season wasn't just for her. It became the foundation of a ministry built for women who are ready to stop hiding and start walking in what God has already said about them.

“The hidden things God touches become the most powerful testimonies — and I'm living proof.”

Erica writes for All the Way In — a Substack letter series for followers of Jesus pursuing full surrender — and pours into the women God has placed in her life through FORMED, Freedom Encounter, and the wider Hidden community.

She believes that every woman is seen by God, loved deeply, and fully equipped to walk in her purpose — even the parts she has kept hidden. Especially those parts.

Feel a pull
toward this work?

Hidden is building — not quickly, but rightly. As God adds to this ministry, the right people find their way in. If you feel a pull toward formation, freedom, intercession, or operations and you want to explore what that might look like, we want to hear from you.

🌹
Intercession & Prayer
Covering this ministry through prayer is one of the most significant ways you can partner with what God is doing here. If you carry an intercessory gift and feel a pull toward this work, we want to know.
🌿
Formation & Freedom
If you have a background in discipleship, deliverance, or inner healing and sense a call to serve women in this way, Hidden has a pathway for you. It starts with formation — yours first, then others.
Operations & Support
Behind every ministry is someone making sure the work can actually happen. If you have gifts in administration, coordination, creative, or communications and feel a pull toward kingdom work, let's talk.
Tell us who you are
This is not a job application. It is the beginning of a conversation. Fill this out and we will be in touch personally.
Every submission is read personally. We will get back to you with intention — not with a form letter.
